Diagnosing causes of behaviour issues and solving them, using Impackt professional humans and Impackt trained aggression therapy dogs.
Pamela’s pioneering work observing dogs in their ‘natural’ state, without the constraints of harnesses, leads, owners, space or time, means Impackt professionals can understand why your dog is the way they are!
Additionally, it’s not just us observing your dog, it’s one or more of our Impackt trained aggression therapy dogs that help to communicate to us what they see!
With our aggression assessments, our highly skilled team of humans and dogs can help you get the answer, so you know what to do going forward!
All Impackt accredited behaviourists and trainers are also able to use their own aggression therapy dogs (ATDs) to help a client’s dog if needed. Sometimes dogs are transformed in just one session because they are able to meet and sometimes play with another dog.
Yes, of course! It’s what we do. We just need you to be totally honest with us! We have a safety protocol we adhere to, so your dog will need a muzzle to attend a session. Our facilities are fenced and our protocols are safe. The full aggression assessment will include human to dog and dog to dog aggression assessments.
We will be able to give you a full insight into your dog. You will know why your dog is aggressive and the best course of action going forward. It is also possible you will be told your dog is reactive and not aggressive, and why this is the case. Whatever the news, you will leave with the correct diagnosis and the best course of action going forward. Sometimes just knowing and being on the right track is life changing!
Yes, of course! It’s not always aggression assessments, and we enjoy helping owners with other issues such as recall, excessive barking, lead pulling, separation anxiety, etc.
Yes, totally, of course we are. Impackt Behaviour 10 Point Code of Conduct: every dog and every case is different, and we use methods and strategies to suit each individual dog. We will always use the kindest and least aversive way possible to help both the dog and the owner. We have never harmed a dog. Anything we do will be discussed with you beforehand, and before we use the tool or method we suggest, you will have the final say.
Yes! We use all of the available science to help dogs, including advanced techniques to help with socialisation. Many ‘modern’ trainers will not use these techniques, however, if used correctly, they can be transformational. We feel that our approach, combined with Impackt’s pioneering work using aggression therapy dogs (ADTs), combined with strict assessment protocols, is making others’ approaches to training and behaviour seem increasingly outdated.
Yes, absolutely! We help owners understand timing of rewards to give their dogs clarity, which is more important than the reward itself.
Yes. Corrections and consequences are part of the science and of natural behaviour. Behaviour modification sometimes needs more than ‘dog training’, which relies on teaching a dog new things. Consequences, positive punishment, is becoming a hot potato, as it is often seen as harming the dog, but actually the opposite is almost always true. It can be as simple as telling your dog “no”! In scientific ‘operant conditioning’, this would be ‘positive punishment’ if the dog listens to you. The definition of operant positive punishment is that it will reduce the behaviour it is applied to!
Every dog is different and every problem is different, some dogs simply do not need every method, tool or technique to help them. We make sure the correct, realistic methods are used. We make sure you, the owner, are happy with everything we do.
No! We are a fraction of the cost of a clinical animal behaviourist, some of whom charge four figures and may not even see your dog, but offer advice remotely! For the sessions, you pay in advance for our expertise. We normally save you hundreds or even thousands of pounds in the long run. Often, clients come to us having already spent a lot of money on dozens of lessons and having tried different trainers. Wasting money stops with us. Quite often, one session is all you need because you leave with the knowledge and strategies for what you need to do going forward.

Over the years, canine behaviour expert and aggression rehabilitation specialist Pamela has built 25 years of proven experience working with severe behavioural cases, many of which have become increasingly complex in recent times. There has been a noticeable rise in extreme aggression and reactivity, something those who follow Pamela on social media will already be familiar with, along with her insights into why this is happening.
Pamela founded Impackt Behaviour with a clear mission, to demonstrate that powerful, lasting results can be achieved through gentle, ethical and practical training methods, and time and time again, this has proven true. She is deeply passionate about strengthening the bond between humans and dogs, and now hosts seminars and workshops across the country, sharing her knowledge on how to build the best possible relationship with your dog.
Exercise and mental stimulation remain a top priority in Pamela’s approach, yet they are often missing in the troubled dogs assessed on a daily basis. Many dogs we see are out of balance, stressed, reactive, under socialised, and struggling with a wide range of behavioural challenges. Preventing these issues early is always the best approach, particularly when it comes to problems like resource guarding and reactivity.
We offer professional behaviour assessments to better understand your dog’s needs, along with private training sessions tailored to resolving specific issues. Our rehabilitation classes are designed to address dog to dog aggression and help restore calm, controlled behaviour.
Impackt also provides a puppy programme and junior classes, giving your dog the best possible start in life. In addition, we run a variety of fun and social classes, allowing you to spend quality time with your dog while reinforcing positive behaviours.
Our experienced team also includes specialists in scent work, gundog training, agility and canine conditioning. For more complex challenges such as severe predation or recall issues, we offer advanced support using e collar training, delivered by professional and experienced Impackt accredited behaviourists.
Welcome to the Impackt Behaviour ADAPT Programme, Aggressive Dog Awareness and Protection Training, designed for both dog owners and canine professionals.
This programme is created to help keep you and your dog safe in the real world. With the growing number of dog attacks affecting both people and pets, we have developed a comprehensive training system to help you feel more confident and secure during your everyday walks and activities.
Whether you are a dog owner, guardian, dog walker or professional trainer, this programme is tailored for you.
ADAPT combines both theory and hands on practical learning, giving you the knowledge and skills needed to enjoy a calmer, safer and stress free relationship with your dog, even in environments where irresponsible ownership and uncontrolled dogs are a concern.
Throughout the programme, you will gain a deep understanding of why dog attacks happen, how to prevent them and what actions to take if you or your dog ever face a dangerous situation.
By the end of the course, you will leave fully equipped with essential safety knowledge and your exclusive Impackt Behaviour A.D.A.P.T Pack, giving you the tools and confidence to stay protected wherever you go.
HOME VISITS
All Impackt accredited behaviourists will offer home visits if necessary. Although most of our work consists of facility assessments using our aggression therapy dogs, occasionally we will need to come to you. Certain behavioural issues will mean you need a home visit.
RESCUE CENTRES AND CHARITIES
We often make allowances for rescues and rehoming centres, as we appreciate the severe strain and overpopulation there is in this sector. We are often able to help and offer aggression or general assessments at the rescue or rehoming centre. Contact us or one of the Impackt behaviourists to discuss what you need.
